"Cathartes Aura - Big Bend NP" : New original watercolor available! 💛
The Big Bend region has been a part of my work since I first visited in 2012. There is no mistaking its raw and natural beauty, which are fuel for many artists, naturalists, musicians, writers, explorers ... High desert magic.
 
I’m heartbroken by what’s been happening in that part of Texas, but also very hopeful for a sound resolution. One that doesn’t involve further destruction. It's our obligation to take care of these natural gifts and I am hopeful that the Big Bend region will continue to be a source of escape and awe so people like my little boy can hike and explore for years to come.
 
I feel helpless as I watch places like Big Bend & Organ Pipe Cactus NM be molested, and protections like the Endangered Species Act & Roadless Rule be thwarted. But I protest how I am able - and I paint! This original watercolor is now available and 100% of profits will be split between Big Bend Conservation Alliance and No Big Bend Wall. Every little bit helps.
